Static List
Runs on: Shared — pure logic, runs on the Community backend or inside a chatbox overlay.
The Static List node holds a collection of values that you define at design time. Pick the item type — text, number, boolean, color, or one of your custom types — then add as many entries as you need. The entire list is output as a typed array that downstream nodes, such as a loop or a list node, can consume.
This node has no external dependencies and no runtime lookups. It is useful wherever you need a fixed set of options that does not change, such as a list of response phrases, a set of numeric thresholds, a palette of colors to cycle through, or a starter roster of objects (a leaderboard's opening entries, a set of shop items).
Outputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
output | Array<string>, Array<number>, Array<boolean>, Array<hex>, or Array<Custom:YourType> | The complete list of values you configured. The array type matches the chosen item type. |
Configuration
- Item Type: Whether the list holds text, numbers, booleans, colors, or objects of one of your custom types. Changing the type clears all existing items.
- Items:
- Text, Number, Boolean, and Color lists edit inline on the node — add a row with + Add Item, remove one with its × button, or open Edit as Sheet for a spreadsheet-style editor (paste a row, column, or block of cells straight from Excel or Google Sheets).
- Custom-type lists show a compact preview (first few items and fields) and an Edit N Items button that opens the same spreadsheet editor, with one row per object and one column per field. New items are filled in with each field's default value.
- If the node's custom type is later deleted, the node shows a "Custom type deleted" notice and its output becomes disconnected until you pick a new type.
Example
You want your bot to pick a random greeting from a fixed set of phrases. Place a Static List node with item type Text and add entries like "Hello!", "Hey there!", and "Welcome back!". Connect the output to a Random Item node and then to a Send Chat Message effect.
