Stream Deck Integration

Connect your Elgato Stream Deck to Community for one-touch control of flows, alerts, counters, channel point rewards and your chatbot.

Setup

  1. Install the Community plugin on your Stream Deck
  2. Navigate to Integrations in the Community sidebar
  3. Find the Stream Deck section
  4. Click Authorize — this generates a connection token and deep link
  5. The Stream Deck app will open and connect automatically

Available Actions

Execute Flow Trigger

Trigger any flow automation from a Stream Deck button.

  1. Add the Execute Flow Trigger action to a button
  2. Select which flow trigger to execute from the list
  3. Press the button during your stream to fire the flow

The list shows every Stream Deck Trigger and every Quick Action in your enabled flows, so a Quick Action you already use on the dashboard works on a button too.

Pause Alerts Controls

Pause and resume your alerts from physical buttons:

ActionDescription
Pause AlertsPause all alerts (also blocks Super Cheers from being sent)
Unpause AlertsResume alerts — anything queued while paused plays again
Toggle PauseSwitch between paused and unpaused

These are useful during stream segments where you don't want alerts interrupting. Pausing mid-alert cuts it off immediately; it replays from the beginning when you resume.

The buttons always show the current state, even when you pause or resume from the dashboard or a flow.

Skip Alert and Clear Alert Queue

ActionDescription
Skip AlertCut the alert that's playing short, including its TTS, and move on to the next one
Clear Alert QueueDrop every alert still waiting, then skip the one that's playing

Skipping while alerts are paused throws the held alert away instead of replaying it when you resume.

Skip works with the alert widgets in the current widget list. An older alert box finishes its current alert first, then the queue moves on as normal. If you have more than one copy of your overlay open, each copy skips the alert it's showing.

Replay Last Alert

Plays your most recent alert again, for when it didn't show or you want to show it off twice.

  1. Add the Replay Last Alert action to a button
  2. Pick All alerts, or one kind: Cheers, Super Cheers, Subs, Gift Subs or Soundboard
  3. Press the button to replay the latest alert of that kind

Follows and raids can't be replayed.

Alert Queue

Shows how many alerts are still queued to play on your overlay — the key's image is the count, so there's nothing else to press.

  1. Add the Alert Queue action to a button
  2. Open its settings and pick All alerts, or one kind (Super Cheers, TTS, and so on)
  3. The count updates automatically while your overlay is open

The key shows — when your overlay isn't open, or while the connection to Community is unavailable — a dash never means "zero".

Counter

Shows one of your chatbot counters on the key, and changes it when you press it. Handy for a death counter.

  1. Add the Counter action to a button
  2. Pick the counter, and what a press does: Add 1, Subtract 1 or Reset
  3. The value on the key stays in sync with chat commands and your overlays

Pressing the button never posts to chat.

Bot Message

Posts a message in your chat as the Community bot.

  1. Add the Bot Message action to a button
  2. Type the message. Variables and functions work the same way as in chatbot commands and timers, including your streamer variables such as {{broadcaster.deaths}}
  3. Optionally turn on Pin or Source only

A button press works like a timer: nobody typed a command, so {{user}} and command arguments are empty. The key shows a warning if Twitch doesn't deliver the message, for example when AutoMod holds it.

Channel Point Reward

Pauses or hides one of your channel point rewards with a press, and shows whether it's currently on.

  1. Add the Channel Point Reward action to a button
  2. Pick the reward, and whether the button toggles Paused or Enabled
  3. Press the button to switch it

Only rewards created in Community can be changed, because Twitch only lets the app that created a reward edit it. See Channel Points.

Tips

  • Label your buttons — Use clear icons and labels so you know which flow each button triggers
  • Test before going live — Make sure each button fires the correct action
  • Combine with Flows — Stream Deck buttons are most powerful when connected to complex Flow automations
