Alert Effects

Alert effects show visual alerts on your stream overlay.

Alerts queue: one is on screen at a time, and the next waits for it to finish. That is what makes them right for moments that deserve the screen to themselves. If you want something that fires immediately and can overlap whatever is already showing, use Flow Event instead.

The built-in alert types (sub, gifted sub, cheer, follow, raid) each have a matching Build Alert process node that configures the alert's appearance, sound and content — connect its output to the matching activator below.

Flow Alert and Play Clip work differently: they send their data straight to a widget you pick on one of your overlays, and that widget decides what the alert looks like. There is no builder node in between.
