List Skip
Runs on: Shared — pure logic, runs on the Community backend or inside a chatbox overlay.
The List Skip node drops the first or last Count items of a list and outputs whatever remains. The original list passed in is never modified.
Asking to skip more items than the list holds returns an empty list — it never errors on a short list. List Skip is the mirror of List Take: chain the two together to page through a long list.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
list | list | The list to trim. |
count | number | How many items to drop. Defaults to 1. |
Outputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
result | list | The remaining items, same item type as the input. |
Configuration
- Skip:
FirstorLast— which end of the list to drop items from.
Example
To show "page 2" of a 30-entry giveaway list in groups of 10, wire the entries list into List Skip with Count set to 10, then wire the result into List Take with Count set to 10. Skip 20 + Take 10 gives you page 3, and so on.
