List Unique

Runs on: Shared — pure logic, runs on the Community backend or inside a chatbox overlay.

The List Unique node removes duplicate items from a list, keeping the first occurrence of each and preserving the order of everything else. The original list passed in is never modified.

For lists of plain strings, numbers or booleans, whole values are compared. For lists of custom or built-in objects, whole objects are compared structurally (equal content matches regardless of key order) — or pick a Field to dedupe by instead, so "one entry per username" is a single node, even if a viewer shows up in the list more than once with different data.

Inputs

NameTypeDescription
listlistThe list to deduplicate.
fieldstringOptional. Wire this to choose the field to dedupe by at runtime instead of picking it in the node.

Outputs

NameTypeDescription
resultlistThe deduplicated copy, same item type as the input, in original order.

Configuration

  • Case Sensitive: shown for text comparisons. Off by default on new nodes.
  • Field: for lists of custom or built-in objects, pick which field identifies a duplicate. Leave it as "Whole Item" to compare entire objects.

Example

Your raid history is a list of objects with a raiderUsername field, and the same raider can appear more than once. Use List Unique with Field set to raiderUsername to get one entry per raider before showing a "thanks to our raiders" list on stream.
